ABOUT THE METHOD

 

The Conscious Photography Method is a mindfulness practice that teaches you to ground yourself in your current surroundings.

Consciousness is a state of awareness—both of our internal and external worlds. The Conscious Photography Method combines creativity and mindfulness as a grounding technique to help you battle stress & anxiety.

This method activates awareness of your surroundings by drawing attention to the external world as only you see it. By mindfully observing the internal thoughts and feelings that arise as you engage in this meditative practice, you gain a broader sense of self-understanding, while connecting to a deeper source of peace and creativity.

The Conscious Photography Method was developed almost by accident. As I began pursuing photography purely for fun, I experienced a peace and joy that was independent of the final product of the photos. It was simply about the conscious experience of practicing acute awareness of the world around me and the feelings and insights this awareness offered me.

From these experiences, I developed the Conscious Photography Method as a way to share this structured mindfulness practice with others.
