Once I began incorporating mindfulness practices into my own life—in addition to a holistic focus on exercise and nutrition—I was able to fight those anxious thoughts and feelings.

Yes, stress and anxiety still come up in my day—that’s just part of being human. But by recognizing and identifying these thoughts and moods when they do arise, I am not ruled by them, like I was in the past.
